I had my esophagus removed. Has anyone else had this done?

I had my esophagus completely removed, and it’s been almost five months since I’ve had the surgery done. I’m wondering if someone else has had the same surgery and how are you feeling? I’m still not feeling well, but I’m trying to power through. I’m looking for some help with my mental health and my health issues in general.

I had the same; it took me about two years to feel “normal” and to doing my activities. It’s a brutal surgery and you need time to heal.
Thinking of you! Try to be strong and don’t push yourself to “power through” if you are able to avoid that. You need rest.

@sterlingrhys It’s been a year now, and still powering through this. Hit a few bumps here and there, but I know now I have to take the good with the bad. I don’t push myself too hard on things that need to be done. Trying to put my weight back on, and that’s not going easy. At this time I’m just trying to pace myself back to better health. Thanks for letting me know about your progress and how your progress has been. Thanks again
