EGD and colonoscopy for Barrett's esophagus

I had my second bout earlier today. I think I’m bleeding as a result of the stretching of my esophagus. I want to hold off one more time and if it happens again I’ll call my gastroenterologist. Google does nothing but scare me due to all answers being mostly that it wouldn’t hurt to check again which means that I would have another Levanox treatment while stopping my Coumadin.
Just having to have a blood thinner I’m probably more prone to bleeding

No, everyone is different so I’d be on the safe side and get it checked out.

Just had my endoscope and colonoscopy. Endoscope just showed barrettes esophagus so I have to repeat that in 8 months. Colonoscopy only had 2 small polyps so that will vibe rescheduled for 3 years. I do wonder if it was because I have been working with a nutrient who has been trying to get me off my Protonix? I asked my doctor about the risks of dementia from taking it since I have been on it for 30 years he said the research was very weak regarding the dementia.

@andytheman, No, I don't think it is a "requirement" to describe one's black tarry stools as looking like "coffee grounds". The coffee grounds descriptor is typically used to describe emesis or vomit-not stool. Bottom line is bleeding (frank or otherwise) is not normal and definitely,
should be checked out by Urgent Care at a minimum. Hoe you are feeling better and don't have any more concerning symptoms.

I went to the emergency room because of what I had for 3 days in a row several days after my endoscopy and the girl in the office said “he’s not hear but I’ll leave him a voicemail that could come in 5 hours

So i took plan “B” and they said I should go to the hospital for via 911 they arrived and took me to a good hospital who first examined my. Then I was day and spent 3 days in the hospital.

I was immediately put under anesthesia and rushed to the operating room!
I was out under 30 seconds and come to find out my esophagus was not needing!
It was my stomach as I was hurting there.
The scope was put in despite the fact that I was on a blood thinner and 2 biopsies were done and I was informed that I am bleeding from my stomach and not the esophagus as we previously thought.

I was bleeding because my stomach had a bleeding “erosion “ in my stomach that is the cause of my bleeding area because it was starting to become a stomach ulcer. He took some biopsies and I was placed on a medication to stop bleeding. Then I was discharged and the bleeding was going to stop (I forgot the name of the medication.) and was discharged later.

Come to find out the three days of black stools was residual from the previous endoscopy this new hospital found an ““ in my stomach beginning to grow as an ulcer. No coffe grounds. Doctor said that some esophageal bleeding may not always have non coffee grounds especially in the upper GI bleeding

I didn’t have it 18 months ago so I guess it appeared on this endoscope.

Go on a strict low acid diet with no carbonated drinks or booze. Stay away from Mexican, Italian ,
or fried foods. No vinegar products. Drink lots of water, unsweetened almond milk is alkaline.
eat steamed Brocolli, Brussels, chicken breast. You can beat this.
