I got my new ct scan with contrast does anyone know what this means?
I have no symptoms. I'm waiting on my primary doctor to look over these and tell me the next steps.

@surgin1991 , I'm assuming that this report is from a follow up CT exam. I'm not a medical professional. It looks like your lymph nodes are reacting to something, and you have some small nodules.
Do you have an appointment scheduled with your provider? How soon is that? It's so hard to wait, but they would be the best person to interpret the results for you.

2 ReactionsWhat did those things mean the previous CT scan? Doesn't seem to indicate anything new, but mostly changes to what is already there.
@lls8000 they were found by accident in 2024. And ever since I've been just keeping an eye on them. I'm waiting on my primary care doctor to look at then and tell me the next steps. I'm just trying to figure out if they are dangerous or not.

1 Reaction@bajjerfan they were found by accident in 2024. Is it common to have that many nodes?
@surgin1991 the radiologist that read your report mentions that both sarcoidosis and lymphoma can cause lymph nodes increasing in size and nodules. I suspect your primary care physician will want to rule both of those out and will order additional testing. let us know how the follow up goes.
@surgin1991
I really don't know.
@surgin1991, I don't know that it's common, but it's not unheard of. My younger brother had eight nodes tracked for several years until as he put it "they got tired of looking at pictures of my lungs". As far as growing nodes, I have had mediastenal nodes grow by 50% in three months. A follow up PET scan showed them to be benign. (I got the immediate PET scan because I'm already stage 4.)
Like Lisa said, none of us have medical degrees. Please let us know what your doctor decides and think positive.

2 Reactions@surgin1991, perfect!, that sounds like a great next step. She’s taking it seriously, but also knows that a specialist can help more. Hopefully you’ll get an appointment soon.
