I am getting a biopsy of my liver on Friday.
I'm worried they'll hit a hepatic vein while doing the liver biopsy on Friday. I'm worried that I'll bleed out as a single mom of 5. My ex recently sold our home to my neighbor and kicked out his own children!
Any advice?

No cancer but the liver mass at 10cm could still implode and I can bleed out.
The surgeon wants to implant seeds to embolize the mass veins so it doesn't get larger, but to resection the liver he doesn't believe it's operable.
So the biopsy results were no cancer. However with a 10cm liver tumor I can bleed out if it implodes. The surgeon is implanting seeds to embolize the veins so it doesn't get bigger. However, he doesn't believe it's operable.

1 ReactionThat’s certainly mixed news. Comforting that it’s not a cancerous tumor but, my goodness, the worry of it potentially causing a bleeding issue is concerning. Wishing you well with the treatment to keep this tumor from enlarging further. Do you have a target date for the implants?

I was worried about bleeding out also ..my nurse said never seen it happen in 30 years of her practice . You should be fine .
I am diagnosed with liver cancer

1 ReactionI have melanoma in my eye, and I have A CT scan every six months. This one shows that I have lesions of my liver. I will be going for a PET scan next week and hopefully a biopsy. However, I am quite certain that I do have never cancer at this point. I completely understand what you are going through. It’s pretty scary. Take care.
They glued the biopsy closed. It was benign. However, with a 10 cm mass it can bleed out. The surgeon is now putting in seeds or glue on 4/2/25.
