I am getting a biopsy of my liver on Friday.
I'm worried they'll hit a hepatic vein while doing the liver biopsy on Friday. I'm worried that I'll bleed out as a single mom of 5. My ex recently sold our home to my neighbor and kicked out his own children!
Any advice?

I went to get my haircut and nails done today. I also am writing a new Screenplay. I am a perspective Screenwriter, Producer and Director.
This is the way to take charge of your life, @helise0802! There’s nothing like fresh haircut and having your nails done to lift the spirits. Well, maybe tossing in a massage would be like icing on the cupcake. But I’m glad that you’re seeking some normalcy while waiting for the biopsy results.
What an interesting career! How do you manage the demands of that creative job while tending to the needs of 5 kids?
I don't know if you already had the biopsy but I had one done 2 weeks ago.
The good was they told me I'll be awake but probably a little loopy during the procedure but right when they put the meds in I went lights out. The only thing I felt was the Dr rubbing the litacane on me 😂
The bad was while in recovery they gave me apple juice and graham crackers. About 30 minutes later they gave me a turkey sandwich. About 30-60 minutes later my stomach started hurting. They contacted the Dr and they told him all of me vitals were great so it wasn't liver or biopsy related so they discharged me about an hour later. The nurse told me if it gets worse comes back or call 911. It definitely got worse and worse where around 3am I passed out. I didn't go to the hospital but if they said it wasn't liver related I treated it as a really bad stomach ache and after a few Pepto tablets the pain went away. I was finally able to get some sleep and when I woke up I was feeling great.
I'm sorry you went through that. I had the biopsy a week ago. The results are in now, but I'm awaiting the surgeon to call me. The day during the procedure wasn't bad. The next day I had severe pain after the drugs wore off the next day afternoon. However, during the procedure the first technician pressed really hard on my rib cage. I kept saying OW! Then another technician came into the room. He knew what he was doing vs the girl. Since I have a 10 cm mass I just read that a liver tumor can burst with or without it being cancer.
I never read a tumor can burst. I'll look into it.
I guess I'm lucky because I was knocked out during the whole procedure. My stomach pains could have been due to something they did but nobody will admit it and I was not awake.
My primary dr recommended an oncology surgeon. He's the one that scheduled the biopsy but also told me due to the location of the tumor it's inoperable. That's why I'm looking at other options.
I had a liver biopsy done like a week and a half ago. They took 3 biopsy. I was totally out woke up and my left shoulder and neck was hurting. The nurse said that's weird most people complain about there right side. She gave me a hot pad and some Advil. But I tell you when the medication wasn't working anymore it felt like someone was trying to spread my ribs apart. Took some more Advil went to bed with a heating pad. Still was sore the next day just kept taking Advil and the pain finally went away. Still do not have results back but I have already started chemo. Hope everyone the best stay positive and hope they can find a cure for all cancers.
How can they give you chemo without knowing the results? Stop that now! I had 6 samples taken and the next day afternoon i had severe pain. I took it easy for a few days. Back to packing as my ex and neighbors are kicking us out of our home....evicting his own 5 children!
Anyway feel better. If the pain gets worst go to the ER.
Sorry about what your ex and neighbors are doing to you and your five children. That is awful ! Sending you hugs! Hope it works out for you!
Thank you ❤️
Good morning, @helise0802 I’m just following up to see if you received the results from your liver biopsy. I hope everything is ok. Will you require any treatment?
