I accidentally took 2x venlafaxine and at night

I am now coming off venlafaxine (225mg) and currently am at 150mg and some mirtazapine. I accidentally took another 150mg of venlafaxine in the evening (300mg) instead of my sleeping pill and as I remembered, took the mirtazapine too so I could sleep. What should I do to get to sleep and is there anything else I should know about?

@mathiask Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I’m sorry it took awhile to get an answer for you. I hope this one from a poison center will help.

Taking lots of pills and changing doses is always complicated and ripe for errors. I know how hard it is! I went from 1 pill per day before my autoimmune disease to almost 20! I try to set up the pills for a week at a time and always do it when I’m not distracted. I use a weekly pill container that has spaces for morning and evening doses for 7 days. If you don’t have a safe and careful plan for your medications, please set one up!
Basically, what i read was that 1 extra pill isn’t dangerous, but that you should check with your doctor.
