Has anyone taken both Hydrea and Tamoxifen?

In November 2025 I was dx with DCIS. I had a mastectomy with clear margins and no lymph node involvement. At that time I was also dx with high platelet count. Since my platelets were high I was not put on Tamoxifen although that was recommended as Tamoxifen increase chances of clotting. In June, I started taking Hydrea which has lowers my platelet count somewhat. I will be on Hydrea for life. I am wondering if anyone else has taken both Hydrea and Tamoxifen? I am 76 years old and will continue to have alternating MRI and Mammograms every year. Has anyone else forgone taking Tamoxifen and just relied on yearly exams?

Susan, have you been diagnosed with a blood disorder as well as DCIS? Did you add tamoxifen to your treatment plan?
