Husband had his surgery

Posted by ticklefeather @ticklefeather, Dec 17, 2022

Hi,
My 73 year old husband his his pancreatic surgery last Monday, Dec. 12th. Surgery took 10 minutes shy of 6 hours. The removed half of his pancreas, and his spleen and resected some large veins. The surgeon said the surgery went "well" and pathology showed clean margins. The surgeon was able to do the surgery laporoscopically so my husbands recovery will be shorter. He was only in the hospital Mon, Tues and Weds and I brought him home early Thursday afternoon. I am thanking God and the skillful surgeon him making it through the surgery. Now we pray nothing comes back.

How wonderful !! You and your husband must be sharing a sigh of relief and so thankful for the skill of the surgeon. May I ask who is the surgeon ? We are looking for an excellent surgeon for my cousin. At this point the tumor is also attached to a vein and the oncologist said it may not be operable. My cousin has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and has been undergoing chemo treatment for 19 months. She is 65 and strong
