How to relieve cold water lasting headache?
Hi there,
Hope you are enjoying your time.
I have submerged my body in a freezing cold jacuzzi for 10-15 mins! I shivered during remaining in water and was not able to speak fluently; I do not know whether it means I experienced Hypothermia for a moment or not. The current concern is that I have a persistent headache in my right half of brain for 7 days or so; I am hesitant to call it a migraine. What do you recommend for immediate relief of this pain?

@aliali, I would have a concern that it has lasted 7 days. From what I have read, the type of headache you describe should only last a very short time.
"Ice cream headaches are brief, stabbing headaches that can happen when you eat, drink or inhale something cold. Biting into an ice cream cone is a common trigger, but eating or drinking other frosty items, such as ice pops and slushy frozen drinks, can have the same "brain-freeze" effect. Officially known as cold stimulus headaches, they can also occur when you suddenly expose your unprotected head to cold temperatures, such as by diving into cold water.
The good news: Most ice cream headaches are gone as quickly as they develop..."

Have you discussed the cold water headache symptoms with your doctor?
@aliali, this is a question for a medical professional. I, too, would be concerned about a persistent headache that has lasted for 7 days or more. It may or may not be related to the cold water submersion. Please let us know what you find out from your doctor.
@aliali Hey,
Do you have news on this, I have the same issue after pouring cold water on my head I'm having a headache for now 3 days and it won't go away, can you please tell me how it ended up, did it disappear by itself or did you took some medication? Thank you
I used an ice bath for the first time and my blood pressure rose to 208! It is normally normal to low (120). I am 62 years old and swim all year round in the ocean. Not so cold in Sydney ocean (17 deg.C). I have had a headache for a week now on the right side of my head down to the base of the skull. Family doctor seems to think it will pass but I would like to know further information.
Same here with the persistant headache. Have you still got it?
I've had one for a week now. It goes with medication then keeps returning.
Hey @labjrbzac
So sorry to hear you also going through this.
In my case it went away slowly after 4 days and after doing something called "hijama", however I feel sometimes very very slightly pain when moving my head too fast, I'm very depressed I feel that I fucked up my brain and there is no scientific resources about it.
