I received this private message today and believe others are better able to answer it.
My fiance is requesting for appointment in Mayo Clinic (Minn.) but they sent him an email for him to choose appointment date he will be available depending on when their appointment calendar opens.

Hi, @jakedduck1 – here is a page specifically for international patients https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/international
Hi @jakedduck, thank you so much for posting this question here, thanks @Lisa for your contribution. The appointment has been confirmed and scheduled on August 26, 2019 at 8:00 AM, in the department of neurology. They sent him an email yesterday about the appointment confirmation.
Please I have a question to ask based on this.
For him to meet up with the appointment date, is it the hospital (Mayo clinic) that will offer him Visa letter or is he going to process it by himself?. Because if he process the Visa by himself, he may not be able to meet up with the appointment date.
Please I need your suggestion. What do you think he should do for him to meet up with the appointment date being August 26, 2019?. Thanks

Hi, @chynex – I'd suggest going to the page for international patients at Mayo Clinic and asking your question through there of the international patient experts. https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/international

Thanks @Lisa for your concern. I just hope all will be fine soon. Since Mayo clinic has confirmed and scheduled his appointment date. At least I'm a little bit relieved now, because I was so worried about how our future is going to be with the seizure.
And I'm happy that I joined this wonderful group (Mayo Clinic Connect).

Hi, @chynex – I see that you mentioned this was your fiance who is going to go to Mayo Clinic for seizures. Congratulations. When is your wedding?
You might also like to meet @dawn_giacabazi and also @rachelskaug and @patrassi, who have been to Mayo Clinic for themselves or a loved one's seizures. @jenniferhunter was at Mayo Clinic for a different neurologic condition, but may be able to speak to how her experience went there.
About his seizures, wondering if you'd share how often he is having seizures? What are his seizures like?
Thanks @Lisa. — My wedding date will soon be fixed by God's grace. But we want to find the solution to the seizures first which is the most important thing that is bothering everyone.
He was diagnosed of Absence seizure. It occurs to him once in a month or two months, whenever he is stressed up. It happened to him when he was still a kid. According to what the mother told me, their Nanny pushed him as a result of anger he fall down and hit his forehead on the big chair. From there, he started having convulsions. It wasn't easy anyway. The whole thing is scary.
Based on this type of seizure (absence ), it is better we manage it with medications or surgery. I'm afraid of this memory issues because he is a lecturer and likes his job with passion. So that after, he can still maintain his work. Which one is better to manage with a lecturing job? Please any advice/suggestion on this?

Hi – thanks for posting this question, @jakedduck1. Sounds like in the case of this member indicating the patient can choose an appointment date he'll be available depending on when their appointment calendar opens, making this selection is the next step in the process outlined by the appointment experts.
