How soon after your last round of chemo did you get a repeat CT scan?

ASCO guidelines say no sooner than 8 weeks, but closer to 12 weeks is better.

So glad the "new nodule" is benign. I am still waiting to meet the radiation oncologist- get started - then I will be taking Alectinib when I am done with radiation-
My treatment was chemo then a lobectomy (lower left lobe) next radiation.

I think we corresponded and you told me you have been on Alectininib for 3 1/2years.

Hi April (@aprilradek), I'm just thinking of you. Were you able to start/complete your radiation cycle? How are you feeling?

Thank you for this.
I've a rare EGFR mutation variant with only a few case reports in the lit. But I am transferring oncology care to another team that normal EGFR expertise but also a better approach to involving patients in care decisions s well as compassionate care - they actually note that the latter is in the NCCN guidelines. Crossing fingers.
With appreciation for your reply and good to hear new nodule has been benign.

Hi @justanotherpt, I hope by now you've been able to see your new oncologist/s. Having knowledgeable experts, makes a big difference in treatment options and confidence in your own care. How did your appointment go? Did you find what you were looking for when you made the switch to a new team?

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for checking in, I started radiation yesterday, 29 more to go!

I should be done by Jan 22, and then I will start ALECENSA.
I am having some flare-ups/pain near the rib that was removed but it is all relative. I got so excited when I was pain-free for 2 weeks... it was wonderful, but then I did too much!
I went crazy in the garden. So I backed off bending - How are you doing?

April, (@aprilradek) Your body has been through so much, it will take time to recover. It’s not always easy to sit back and not do too much, give yourself leeway with the garden work! Hoping that the radiation treatments go well for you too. 29 more sessions is a long haul, and there will be days when you don’t feel like going, just focus on the end of January when that part will be over.
I’m doing well!

Thanks for the kind words- I forget how much my body has been through at times- it is a good reminder.
