How long of a wait to access Rasonque?

Hi, my mom’s clinical trial treatment stopped working after 9 months and now looking into starting Rasonque. Curious how long is the wait to get the pills? Are they accessible or difficult to get? Appointment with oncology Monday but too anxious to wait. Thanks!

RASONQUE is available now in the U.S. by prescription, so fortunately your mom is no longer waiting for access through a clinical trial or expanded-access program. It is dispensed through specialty pharmacies and shipped directly to the patient.

The time to receive it can vary because the oncology office may need to obtain insurance authorization first. RASONQUE also has a manufacturer support program called (ON)Path, which can help with insurance, financial assistance and getting treatment started. They also have a Quick Start Program for eligible patients.

The medicine went FDA approved about a month ago so a prescription can be written for it now.

@mcharlesfrancis Thank you for the information. Glad to know they have processes to speed access. Will ask about them.

@aparrish01 was worried it might be slow access considering the recent approval. Thank you!

It took me one week to get medication once I was approved by my insurance. The company Encore 360 is the cancer medication pharmacy that sends it out by fed ex. I got it today.
