How long could heat last after menopause?

Posted by dunbun13 @dunbun13, Jul 7 12:27pm

I had a complete hysterectomy at 40 and I am now 75. I still get overwhelming body heat that I can’t regulate. I have numerous Dr with no answers. Is this still related to Menopause? Anyone have this for this many years?

I associate mine too my autoimmune disease. Can’t regulate heat. I am almost 6 years into menopause

I, too, have this same experience. Full hysterectomy at 42, was on Estradiol for 15-18 years. My hot flashes were minimal in comparison to what some women go through. When I stopped the Estradiol I started having them but, not right away. I am now 64 and still get them, I attribute them to be associated with the hysterectomy and stopping the Estradiol but, I have never talked to my dr. about it.
