How do you balance your PH?
My gynecologist recommended boric acid suppositories to balance my PH, but when I tried them several years ago they made my IC/BPS bladder sore. I suppose I could try them again once. Are there other options?

Hormones and lactobacillus probiotics can balance PH.
So using estriol vaginally 3 nights a week and probiotics suppository 3-4 nights a week can help.
Hyaluronic acid suppositories and systemic BHRT can also help.
Oral probiotics with the lactobacillus strains can help being layered with vaginal probiotics.
@kathleen1314 Can you recommend any vaginal probiotics?
@blueskies1530
I can't recommend any probiotics; I can tell you what I use and why.
I try to have the least number of additives beyond the probiotics themselves; that is becoming harder and harder with the manufacturers leaning towards more not less and dropping items with fewer additives.
The main ingredient to have I feel is a Multi‑strain Lactobacillus (including crispatus, rhamnosus, acidophilus).
I try to not have lots of other items. My probiotic right now does have lactoferrin, hyaluronic acid. I would prefer that it didn't have the hyaluronic and lactoferrin, and then I could add separately if I wish, but this is what we have product wise unless you wish to pack your own capsules.
I am currently using Zerotaboos, probiotic, lactoferrin, hyaluronic suppositories. I also take a profem oral with a multi-strain lactobacillus.
I am trying to populate more good bacteria by using the probiotics and my estriol vaginal to make the area more conducive to growing good bacteria. My dna vaginal and dna urine is showing more lactobacillus, with the vaginal showing some preBV activity which means I just have to continue to be diligent. The ph is staying stable but stubborn in not moving lower, but that may be normal for me.
Estrogen plays a large role you can populate all you won't and if the area is not conducive the lactobacillus will not populate. Estrogen systemic and vaginal seems to be important. I saw a better result when I upped my systemic estrogen recently.
So vaginal/bladder health seems to be a synergistic action beyond just probiotics.
@kathleen1314 I'm considering increasing my systemic estrogen. My gyn mentioned that as a possibility at my last appt to improve my vulvovaginal health. I'll discuss with him again soon.
@blueskies1530
I do find that the estrogen needs to be at a certain level systemically to work with the vaginal to make it all work.
I have started some estradiol, small small amount, have had to halve the amount of clicks and go to just 2 days a week. Plus, I used some progesterone vaginally when I first started the upped estradiol systemic dose because it was just too much.
This is one reason that I like creams so much; I can adjust the amounts based on my symptoms easily.
