How do I taper of1.5 Lorazapam safely
How can I taper off 1.5 Lorazapam taken 3 times a day at 0.5 doses. I have no help and need instructions. Have been on Lorazapam 4 years age 74 female how do I divide the 0.5 pill

Go on u tube, type in benzo tapering. Go on FB Get on a benzo website, a man named David has helped thousands of us safely taper off. When I could not find a single Dr or psychiatrist that would help me safely get off with a SLOW taper that was my only option. Was on the same amount as you and David put me on a water taper. You cannot get off of these fast . .05 Is too small
To be shaving off, water taper is better and easier. Don’t know how long you’ve been on these but with any benzo you need to go very slow. 5 to 10% a month sometimes even less.
My husband bought a gem scale to help me taper. The 0.5 mg lowest dose that I was on for five years was tapered by one milligram each day and after almost two months I was down to a tiny piece. I was fine for about three weeks with no problems.....then I developed horrible insomnia rebound.....which was the original reason I started to take it....for sleep. I have been awake all night last night and tonight I will take a pill again and go back on......I am going to do cognitive behavior therapy and then do another taper again.....maybe even slower this time. I will check facebook for taper info.......thank you for sharing your experiences. I appreciate it.
Way too fast for being on this 5 years why you are having problems. No more than 3 to 10 % a month. Water taper would be best , you could go down as low as you need too. Get on Beating Benzos on FB for more help. You will probably have to start over again. Two months was way too fast. Good luck
