Are there hotels connected to Mayo Clinic by skywalk/subway that would offer onsite restaurant?

Good morning! Have you narrowed down your search?

There are quite a few conversions with members about lodging in Rochester that might be helpful for you. The closer to the clinic, the prices will be higher…paying for convenience.
There are hotels further away that offer shuttles to and from the clinic. Parking is at a premium!

I’m a regular at Mayo, making frequent visits. My husband and I always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn on Center street. It’s 2 blocks from the campus and directly connected to the clinic with the subway (walkway). Full sized refrigerator, nice kitchen with either cook top or full oven depending on the room. Dated rooms, but clean and the staff is great.

Wherever you choose to stay, call directly and ask for the Mayo discount! Is this your first time in Rochester? (Super easy to get to the clinic)

I have appointments next week at Mayo Clinic and I am staying at the Kahler Grand; it is right across the street from the Gonda Building. It is also connected via the subway. The rooms have a coffee maker, small refrigerator, and a microwave. I have stayed at the Kahler several times and have found it to be very comfortable.
Good luck with your appointments.

I just got back from Mayo Rochester today (2 full days of appointments). My strategy is to stay at places away from downtown and St. Mary’s hospital. Parking is bad downtown and by St. Mary’s. The lodging options around the edges of town have shuttles to get you to and from the Mayo campuses. I choose places that have a full breakfast, pool and hot tub. Even though the trip was for the purpose of going to Mayo it is the closest I will get to having a vacation so I’m fussy about the lodging amenities. I have found that if you have a big itinerary, spread out over several days you can start with a good breakfast at your lodging (except if/for the day you have fasting lab work), then use a shuttle to get to Mayo campus and tend to appointments during the day(s). There are places to eat &/or rest and things to do if you have downtime between appointments. You can get back to your lodging for evenings away from Mayo where there are more things to do and nice places to check out for dinner.

@retirement75, there are quite a few hotels at Mayo Clinic in Rochester that are connected by the skyway and/or subway that offer onsite restaurants. The Kahler Grand and the DoubleTree come to mind.

Allow me to tag a few "frequent visitors" who can help compile a complete list to help you out like @rosemarya @roch @loribmt @bernese53 @naturegirl5 @jenniferhunter @allenaj @savinggrace16 @nana75165 and others. And of course, you can always rely on @lmindela from Concierge Services, who will add his knowledge.

Retirement75, do you have any other wishes or limitations that we should know about when making these recommendations, such as mobility limits, budget, preferences?

I stayed at Hotel Indigo March 2023. It was better than I expected. The rooms were so clean and staff was very helpful. Everything is fresh and new. Rooms were quiet and I slept quite well. The restaurant delivers to the room and it was fabulous.
I was very impressed with this hotel and the price was very reasonable. Microwaves are available upon request. The only possible negative would be that it is far from some of the clinics. However, the walkways are connected and I enjoyed the walk. May be an issue for someone with mobility problems.
I will always stay at Hotel Indigo.
