Hotel near St Marys
Good morning,
I am looking to book a hotel for my surgery at St. Mary's in September. It will primarily be for my husband, who doesn't plan on doing much cooking . I am between the SpringHill suites by Marriott, because we have stayed with Marriott forever or the Staybridge Suites. Any thoughts?
Marriott is less expensive, likely because it doesn't have a kitchen in the suite.
Thanks!
Jen

Hello! My family stayed at Med City. They had a hot tub/pool and breakfast and it was like $73 including tax. The building is pretty dated, however it did the job! It was safe and had a comfy bed. We only needed it for the night before surgery. After that my hubby stayed in my room at St. Mary’s . Best of luck to you…and wherever you stay will be great down there, it’s more valuable to the hotel to be good and safe because they would be throwing away money with the amount of people that need hotels in the area!
They both seem good. We stay at Aspen Suites. Breakfast and light supper. VERY accommodating.
We (husband when I was an inpatient) stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in 16th St, you can see the St Mary's entrance from the driveway .2 miles away, a 5-minute walk. Nothing fancy. Clean. Friendly staff. On shuttle route. Free parking and breakfast. The concierge service can provide a list and many give discounts for Mayo patients. https://www.mayoclinic.org/patient-visitor-guide/minnesota/concierge-services
