I’m still trying to find healing and not be so anxious and depressed about life

It's a real blessing to have this website where I can see that I am not alone in my struggle to find peace within myself. Doing meditation (with a phone app) and journaling has helped -- but only if I am consistent in using those tools on a daily basis. I am also looking to find connection outside of myself, too -- there are so many ways to try out different clubs or groups online. I just have to be willing to look for what actually interests me.

One site that I've found helpful for resources is the Resilient Option - https://www.resilientoption.com/.

Here is one of the videos that you might find helpful.

I’m struggling to find connections again post-COVID. It seems I lost many of the community activities I had before (book clubs, wine clubs, lost contact with acquaintances). I feel isolated sometimes because I still work remotely and many days the only people I talk to in person are my children and spouse. I’ve noticed my self-confidence is greatly diminished (I’m a little afraid of social situations) and I’m also distrustful of others in a way I never used to be.

I have lately myself am beyond depressed as as living in severe chronic pain now for 20 years is only getting worse. Everytime i try something suggested only makes things worse. I've been to a therapist and unless they can remove my pain then there is not much to talk about.

Maria, I completely understand. My husband and I both went to motorcycle clubs prior to 2020 Covid. I was working and had a lot of interactions with people, but we never fully recovered from it.
I got Covid again in April although I had 3 vaccinations prior. My symptoms got even worse, I had more pain, short of breath, fatigue. So I retired early. My husband never recovered from the 2020 covid. I suddenly had little contact with my church, people as I am now home. I also have depression and anxiety around meeting new people. it is isolating.
Glad you found this group!

I live this same difficult experience also daily. COVID has made my days worse for sure. But I have had to battle these things since I was a very young man. I am very new on here but I will help you in any way that you think is best. Joseph H.

It's been a rough year with one family crises after another, surgery for me, and becoming a caregiver for the only other person in my birth family remaining, plus a deadline on a major writing project. I have trouble getting up in the morning, am tired all day, and something always happens to tie me in knots. have a therapist, doctor, exercise program, CPAP, support from husband, one child and friends. Still, my self esteem is missing, don't want to drive, forget and lose things, and still severely depressed.

Hello

Like others mentioned daily mediation will help...problem is sometime daily is hard to reach for a while i just played binaural beats using headphones and after a while (2 weeks or so) i started to notice a physical reaction.

Then i was able to start daily 5 minutes...using a timer to avoid thinking about the time and getting anxious...

If convenient try letting a 528hz track playing all the time very low in your house
..somehow even when you not at home...the walls of your home will start resonating...

Later on i started some light incense...and now i am experimenting with perfumes that make me calm..or feel different...Oud somehow is doing the trick.

Yes there is a lot of information above and eventually you need to find what works best for you...now that i have a small collections of Oud fragrances i am starting to educate myself on Mint notes...i was already using mint oil on my diffuser...but i have a feeling Mint perfumes will be my next project.

I still have a anxiety from time to time..but doing the meditation deep breath and smelling my hands calms me down.

Find your path

Best

Francisco

Namaste and below some links for 528hz
