Herbavita and other natural remedies
I have been getting a lot of pop-up ads for herbivita and other products like it for dissolving impacted mucus. It's first ingredient is soursop. Has anyone used these products? Do they work, are they safe? Then, recently, I saw the same product promoted for diabetes and blood sugar control. Is it just a scam as a cure-all?

I'm not familiar with the products you mention, but for what it's worth, my rule of thumb is that if the stuff is really that great, you'd be pursuing them instead of them pursuing you.

2 Reactions@brian93 Miracle cures don't exist, just like back in the day when "Medicine men" in buggies traveled from town to town selling their magical potions, and Lydia Pinkham's Tonic was touted as curing all "women's complaints." Better to avoid anything offered in pop-up ads, for more than one reason.
First and foremost, when you get to their site and order for the first time, you often are "subscribed" for continuing shipments, before you have even tried their product. And they make it nearly impossible to cancel!
Second, in my opinion (backed by our family doc) any product touted to manage blood sugar or cure diabetes is a scam.
The issue of mucus plugs is discussed here often. Some of the things members have reported to help get them out are Mucinex, NAC (N acetyl-cysteine, a supplement), saline nebs, mullein tea, and various airway clearance methods/positions. You can go to the top of the page, click on "< MAC & Bronchiectasis" and go tour our main page. There, in the "Search Discussions" box, type "mucus plugs" to find the conversations.

It looks like this product checks all the BAD boxes for being a scam.
