Herbal Teas and Supplements

Does anyone know if herbal tea and herbal supplements carry NTM? I boil my water for teas, but wondered if the leaves carry the bacteria. If so, does the drying process kill them or the boiled water kill anything left from the leaves.

@ccanz With all of the known sources of NTM exposure, I would not even worry about this matter! Any chance of exposure would seem to me so remote/miniscule as to not hit the radar. Better to concentrate your efforts on known beneficial activities like airway clearance, exercise and a healthy diet.

Keep in mind - any miniscule amount of NTM in these sources that you encounter would find themselves in your digestive system. Besides, teas dried months ago are not a likely source of viable NTM. Any dessication processes probably occur at a high enough tem to eliminate the risk as well.

Being on the subject of natural suppliments for airway clearance, a neighborhood health food store recommended Glutathione for nebulizing. But when I looked it up online, I learned that it could cause wheezing. Did anyone try it for loosening phlegm?
