hemosiderin focus right tectum - old blood in the middle of my brain

I was recently found to have “Indeterminate hemosiderin focus right tectum” of my brain. The cerebrovascular disease team is looking into this and supposedly met today to discuss my case. I had a thoracotomy last September to repair coarctation of the aorta (for the second time) and was slowly cooled and put on bypass for the surgery. My cardiologist said sometimes crazy things show up in MRI’s after this happens. I am curious if anyone else had this show up in an MRI and would love to know what the outcome was. I should also say I had a grade 2 menigioma that was treated with gamma knife surgery after which I experienced radiation necrosis. That is an entirely different story! Horrible experience. Anyway, if anyone has any information to offer it would be greatly appreciated.
