Help Mayo improve a legacy project for people with serious illness

Are you living with a serious illness and receiving palliative or supportive care? Researchers at Mayo Clinic Rochester are looking for people like you to share your thoughts on a new project. We want to make sure our legacy-based program truly supports dignity, meaning, and connection for patients and their families.

What’s This About?

We’re creating a program where people can make short legacy films about their life stories, values, and hopes for loved ones. Your feedback will help us design this project in a way that feels meaningful and respectful.

Who Can Join?

  • Adults (18+) living with a serious illness
  • People who are receiving or have received palliative or supportive care
  • You do not need to be a Mayo Clinic patient

What Will You Do?

  • Take part in a short virtual meeting (30–45 minutes) on Zoom with a researcher
  • Share your thoughts and experiences
  • Give feedback on things like the tone, format, visuals, and music for the legacy project
  • Help us make this project as helpful and supportive as possible

Other Details

  • This is a voluntary role (no payment)
  • We are looking for 20 volunteers
  • Your feedback is informal and just to help us learn
