Help: Chest pain, high heart rate, exhaustion

I am suffering like you are. I’m a 52 year old female who had a very active life. I’ve had chest pain for 23 months, seen many specialists, lots of bloodwork and tests that all show normal. Im seeing a cardiologist who wants me to see another cardiologist who is familiar with Microvascular disease to rule that out. I’m physically unable to do much at all. I have been off work for 23 months. I’m very frustrated.

Yes, I have an appointment with another cardiologist on March 12. I’ve been waiting for 12 months for this appointment.

@amm97 Hi Im so sorry your are having pain now for such along time and Dr.s cant figure it out. Long time ago I had chest pain and back pain l I went to my Dr he didn't know l go to chiropractors so I went to mine and told him of the problem. He examined me and adjusted my back. SUre enough instant relief seems a nerve that goes to the stomach was trapped in the muscle It might be something for you to think of before anymore testing . This was my experience Praying for you to get some help . You mentioned high heart rate no wonder your exhausted . ONe of my patients had this from environmental exposure have you been around this ? just a thought .

Get to Mayo. They will figure it out!

I too recommend Mayo they are set up to diagnose almost any problem and will not give up. This past year i had a virus that was causing low blood counts and fevers. It took 5 weeks but they found it(Mayo Phoenix) and now we have a treatment plan that is working and i feel like a million bucks. So i do recommend Mayo. Good luck and i Pray they find it.

I was thinking about your March 12th appointment. Were you able to see the cardiologist? If so, I hope he was able to help you.

I also started having high heart rate and even developed a murmur that my primary and other doctors dismissed at normal variation in a lot of people and nothing to worry about but then when it started to causing skipped beats and I couldn’t keep up breathing wise and would be exhausted they sent me to a cardiologist and again echo, ekg, stress tests and even holter was fine and nothing was addressed. I went to mayo for brain lesions, fatigue and muscles they heard the murmur and wanted to do echo and found Bicuspid Aortic valve which is a congenital heart defect. I’m not sure about other congenital valve disorders but this one does cause high heart rate (resting above 100bpm) so sometimes it seems maybe they don’t have capabilities with medical imaging in other hospitals or maybe not specifically knowing what to look for as well? I found out after that my grandpa and great grandpa died of heart disease and my aunt also has same issue. Still makes me wonder if he was ever told specifics or was having valve monitored for prevention of heart failure. So 100% any doubt deserves second opinions. I have two echos one normal and one not within months and scary.
