Heart Rate fluctuated up/down repeatedly in sleep

I am 47yo male, and had one AFIB incident in 2017. I have a KARDIA ECG that I use to monitor AFIB which always shows normal rhythm. I had two DVT/PE's in past as well, and a history of "inappropriate sinus tachycardia". I take Bystolic(Beta Blocker) and Xarelto. I occasionally have days where my HR is elevated inappropriately. I will be sitting down, and it will be in the 90's-100's. My doctor has told me to take extra Beta Blocker when that happens.

Saturday I had been noticing elevated HR again. So at night, I monitored my HR. As you can see in the picture, during a portion of the night, my HR fluctuated wildly up and down. My average HR was around 85bpm, and peaked once at 112bpm. Usually my resting HR is in the 60's-70's. This appeared to happen during REM SLEEP. I did not sleep well and woke up several times feeling hot and had night sweats.

I'd like to know what is going on. I sent this to my Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist to examine. I'm hoping they will order another heart monitor for several weeks to catch this thing to figure out what is going on. When I woke up in middle of the night, I used my KARDIA ECG and it showed normal rhythm.

OMG GoodMorning I am a 47 year old female with similar symptoms as well. I was diagnosed in 2011 with Pheochromocytoma and that led to congestive heart failure/stroke and DVT, Fast forward over the years i was told that I have Arrythmia, tachycardia, Afib/flutter and PAC. Now I've had 3 unsuccessful ablations withing the last couple years and my heartrate would be between 130 to 160 bpm. I've had pneumonia Nov 2018 Jan and mar 2019 and I have in a pacemaker. My EP has me on propreferone 225mg 3x daily for the Afib issues and xarelto 20mg for dvt. Are you on any kind of Beta Blockers or meds for AFib?? I have been having those same night sweats and hot and cold feeling as well. But I thought it maybe peremenopause for me bcus of the hot flash and sweating.. I would have to change my bed sheets at night. But whats crazy am ok during the day. Night time it seems is when the body decides to go off. My cardiologist, EP and Pulmonologist refuse to make that peremenopause diagnosis so am at a last now on why the heart is misbehaving the way it is. Not sure what to do but am having these issues nightly. The palpitations are all off in my throat. Its a horrible feeling. The only machine I have at home is to monitor my pacemaker to make sure its working to help the heart. Am not sure what else to do or say to my Docs. I hope that you get some answers from your Doc's and post it if can. Hopefully it can help anyone thats experiencing similar issues and not sure what to do. Have a great day and thanks for sharing. Yes as I said above, I take Bystolic for beta blocker. Xarelto for blood thinner. I used to take Multaq for about a year but they took me off of it after a year. My electrophysiologist said usually arrhythmia will break thru the medicine before a year and I never had an arrhythmia break thru. So he said I was taking it for nothing. My afib incident may have been a "one time event" and I may not have another in my life time.

I was tested for Pheochromocytoma which was negative. All other extensive blood work was negative. I had a nuclear stress test two years ago which was negative and at that time my heart looked good. No congestive heart issues.

I'm still waiting to hear from my doctors.
