Just got my results from the CTX blood test. I'm 58 diagnosed with Osteoporosis. My score was 1159. My PROCOLLAGEN TYPE I INTACT N TERMINAL PROPEPTIDE was 217. Can you let me know what that means? I just started Tymlos and have been on it for a little more than a month.

Sorry. I don't know. I was diagnosed by a score from the DXA scan. It might be in the book I just started. I'll check.

skanter2, R. Keith McCormick wrote a book called Great Bones (published in 2023). In this book he talks about bone marker tests (pgs 144-145). He provides the ranges and what the high/low numbers mean. Was your CTX and P1NP taken before starting Tymlos as a baseline? Or were these tests taken after starting Tymlos? The answer to this will be a more accurate understanding of what your CTX & P1NP numbers mean. You can buy the book on Amazon. It is a really good resource. Well worth the cost in my opinion.

These results were one month AFTER beginning Tymlos. CTx was not tested as a baseline before meds.
