Have you severe, debilitating fatigue that lifts in the afternoon?
Friends… Does anybody have debilitating fatigue that lifts in the afternoon? I am a wreck when I arise: weak as a dishrag, off-balance, shuffling my feet because I don’t have the strength to lift them, collapsing on the sofa for hours. I feel half-alive.
Oddly, in the mid-afternoon, these symptoms begin to lift. On some days, my energy almost completely returns. Have you any thoughts, similar experiences, or feedback? Thank you. 🙏🏼

That sounds wonderful and on occasion it happens. Not if I have done anything the day or two prior. My body seems to work as such: 1 day of Dr visits or errands (3-5 hours) is 2-3 days in bed exhausted. A weekend of things is 3-5 days in bed. I get up to do necessities only. Sleep 12-18 hours a day to refreshed. I before slept 6 hour and was going 18 hours a day. Uhh.
I think this is related to better blood flow and possibly cortisol levels by that time of day
OMG. With so much time in bed, how do you prevent your muscles atrophying? This is a concern for me, and I don’t spend nearly as much time in bed.
I did have days like that where the extreme fatigue would lift and I’d feel really good for a couple hours in the late afternoon, so strange!
My muscles are deteriorating. I do some stretching and light exercises in bed and sitting on bed. It concerns me terribly. I was very fit muscle wise before from horse back riding, dancing and swimming a lot. Always on the go. Now, I’m a waste. Especially the last year. I’ve had Covid 2 more time in 24. That has added more “treats”
To my already miserable condition. I hobble around in the house best I can with a cane. To at least have blood flowing but sleep is pretty straight through except when I have to use the ladies room.
Right now I have a burst of energy so I’m going to get a cup of coffee (was a die hard on Starbucks espresso before now I can’t have all the caffeine) and clean my bedroom best I can till I crash! It’s not bad but needs dusting and vacuuming and my nightstand gone through and meds organized. It will take me an hour or so but used to take 15 minutes. I’m lucky. My fiancé does most of the stuff for me. If I could just teach him to cook healthier and not so bland. lol.
I am so sorry. 😞
Am so sorry 😞
Thanks but we all have what I call “ The remnants of the unknown cause“. Im sorry I say this and who am I. So many different answers. If someone here knows the real story, fill me in please. I got 1/2 the room done, and that took two hours. lol. Dang. The other 1/2 tomorrow. My side had stuff I organized as well. Other side easy. 🤗
My Cardiologist mentioned cortisol levels. Not sure why or what cortisol actually does. In addition to LC, I have a rare genetic disorder. He was talking about Cushings disease since it is common with the genetic disorder. Cortisol is supposed to be high with this and mine was normal a few months ago. He said in evenings it could go up??
