Have you had pesticide exposure possibly linked yo your seizures?
Hi-- I spent my first few years on a farm where Dieldrin, Lindane and DDT were heavily used, and where the area was sprayed with parathion for mosquito control. All are neurotoxins, and studies show elevated levels of epilepsy where pesticides are in heavier use. Dieldrin is directly linked with causing drug resistant epilepsy in newborns in an animal study. I've never been asked by a neurologist about environmental exposures, but my father was an ecologist, so I have been reading scientific articles about this for years.

Hi @auroralm
How interesting, I did not know that. Thank you for sharing it with us.
So, you believe your epilepsy comes from those years you lived on a farm? How long did you live there?
Even living in the city, I believe we also have to care much about what we eat, as many vegetables and fruits contain pesticides. I try to buy as many organic vegetables, fruits and meat (feedlot cattle) as possible nowadays. I share here with you all a detox recipe for fruits and vegetables that the nutritionist shared with me.
1 liter of water
25 ml of organic vinegar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
Leave to soak for 60 minutes
I have recently seen a documentary on Netflix that has scared me much.
We are not only what we eat, but also what our bodies can digest.
Have all a good day!

Sorry, I did not express myself correctly. I avoid buying meat from feedlot cattle.
Chris
I lived on a farm where pesticides were intensively used until I was two and a half. Exposure has especially strong impact on newborns and young children.
I am sorry to hear about that @auroralm . The world needs to rethink those things urgently!!!
So, I understand you have refractory/drug-resistant epilepsy? Would you mind to share with us what kind of epilepsy do you have?
Sharing a quote from a Brazilian writer that touched me deeply inside this week with you all:
Don't worry about adding days to your life, worry about adding life to your days - Mario Quintana
