Have PMR , on prednisone
I am on 10 mg of prednisone . Have developed a reddened rash on both sides of my groin should I see a Dermatologist?

Have you contacted the doctor who prescribed the prednisone yet?
A dermatologist is most likely to give you accurate diagnosis and best
treatment. If you can’t get a consult or referral try your primary.

Have been on Prednisone for one and half years and had been waiting to see a rheumatologist for that length of time. Was down to 3mg a couple months ago when I ended up in emergency after I nearly past out and they increased my Prednisone up to 30mg. Because of the emergency doctor, he recommended me to a rheumatologist he knew, and also a surgeon who diagnosed me with GCA. Forward three months, now new symptoms have appeared which scare me. Water retention, in my feet, my neck and face and weight gain (from bloating), depression and worse, light headedness where I nearly fainted. This all came after I thought I was on the mend and had tapered down on Prednisone. Please tell me this isn't normal! Tomorrow I'm seeing my Rheumatologist and I pray that she can recommend something to take down this swelling that's going on in my body. Has anyone else experienced any of these symptoms and is there any good news to know?
