Have any of you been diagnosed with having Caspr2 antibiodies?

I developed foot drop and weakness in my left leg. I was referred to a NP whose specialty was neurology, and he tested me for autoimmune conditions. The only test that came back positive was Caspr2 - the titer was 1:32.

I have had several CT’ scans, an MRI of the brain, and was referred to a hematologist oncologist. No cancer has been found.

The np basically said that there was no chance it was a false positive and nothing could be done. His recommendation was physical therapy.

My blood pressure is high, and meds are not working to keep it under control. From my research, high blood pressure that is hard to control can be a symptom.

I requested an appointment at Mayo Clinic and was denied. This has caused lots of stress. Any ideas of where I should go to see if I can get treatment?
Thank you!

I don't think PT is sufficient.
It feels odd when Mayo decides against seeing you as a patient. But it's probably a shortage of specialists or your insurance carrier.
It's very stressful. But there are good treatments and you are a step ahead by getting it diagnosed.
Check out abbatemarco at Cleveland Clinic.

Pretty sure it’s not insurance. I know it is rare, so not many people have this and I believed the Dr that first identified it is at Mayo. I’m very frustrated.
