Has anyone tried Auvelity?

Has anyone tried Auvelity? I know it is for Major Depressive Disorder (which I have) but I also suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. Has anyone had any luck with Auvelity treating not only their depression but also their anxiety?

Yes.
I am a success story. I began taking Auvelity in late August 2025. 1 tablet in the morning.
Previously treatment resistant to every anti depressant available. Either horrible side effects, no difference, or minor difference. I have had MDD and GAD...as well as PTSad for years. The only medication that has worked, somewhat for my depression is Welbutrin.
I take Topiramate for compulsive behavior related to PTSD
Low dose Quetiapine for sleep
Buspirone for anxiety
.....So my Psychiatrist took me off my 200mg Bupropion in Late August, and started me soon Auvelity.
1 tablet in the morning.
I had side effects. I felt high as a kite and a bit nauseous for about a week. But bc I've been through everything else, I stick with moderate side effects for longer than usual.
After about 7 days, the "high" simmered down and I was no longer nauseous. Also, I noted a burst of energy Inhad not experienced in a LONG time! I began getting more adjusted to the medication over the next week.
The following week my Psychiatrist upped my dosage to one tablet in the morning and one 8 hours later. No side effects this time.
After a few days, I noted feelings of "delight". actual moments of "happiness" motivation to do things I had not wanted to do in years. No kidding! My depression level went from a steady 7-8 on the scale to a 3. My anxiety 6-7 to a 3-4...then to a 2-3!
For me, this has been nothing short of miraculous. I cannot explain how different I feel. It is literally like night and day. I encourage people to give this a try. No one person's brain chem is the same but, this testimony might give you all a bit of hope. I am happy to answer any questions you might have. It has been an over 30 year slog of living in a vortex of depression/anxiety, and PTSD. Auvelity has helped with all 3.

Thank you for your kind words, I never thought I’d be at this place - without a single advocate to help me with my lifelong struggle through depression. Only people who deliberately misunderstand what it’s like….every day is hell, I can’t sleep because I dread the next day, cycle after cycle. And no one cares. People are tired of me and have become desensitized, I’ve withdrawn further and the cycle keeps going. I wish you all the best. It honestly sounds like you have more options that I do. Keep pursuing them. I know how hard it is. Keep going as long as you can. If only some people knew what we did just to put one foot on the ground out of our bed each day. It can be like climbing Mt Everest to the top.

@ctrogan I signed up just to respond to your post. It's such a C... of a thing depression it's like an invisible mugger that steals everything and the fight is often in vain.. have you tried an MAOI with a stimulant? It works or pramipexole? Sometimes depression and anxiety are not always the distinct enemies we think they are 🙂

@ceebz how kind of you to sign up just to respond to my post. Thank you for that....I actually went through my list of the dozens of medications I've been prescribed for my depression and I don't think I've ever been on an MAOI. Right now I am on Cymbalta (an SNRI) and I also take Vyvanse in the morning. I would say that the only thing that has ever helped my depression are the stimulants, but only for a limited time...then I'm back to the floor again. Depression has robbed me of so much, it would be hard to enumerate - but much more of my life not lived than life lived, for sure. Thank you so much for your kindness.

@ctrogan you need to try an MAOI tranylcypromine plus vyvanse is what I'm on and it's kept me mostly in remission for 5 years. Tranylcypromine works even when ECT fails that's not true of anything else. Im on 120mg Tranycypromine plus 70mg vyvanse but likely you won't need that much.. but try it!

@ceebz Thank you very much for this info. I also did ECT and it failed, and I have been struggling for many years. I have been on every imaginable medication and combination of medications but to my knowledge and looking through my records I have not been on an MAOI. I will speak to my doctor about it, I am going through a particularly unbearable time and appreciate this more than you know.
