@ritapearl When there is persistent shortness of breath from a condition or disease, there are breathing exercises that can help. Sad to say there is no "magic bullet" or pill to offer - it involves progressive exercises to strengthen your lungs and preserve your lung capacity. It is a daily deal...
Can you contact your pulmonologist or primary and ask for referral to respiratory therapy? Working with the diagnosis from your doc, an RT can assess your situation and prescribe exercises for you. At the same time, they can evaluate your current airway clearance and see if there are additional techniques you can use.

Breathing salt air helps and Symibicort exhaler twice a day helps. The two new enhalers, Breztri or Trillegy are both too expensive and my insurance would not pay, one was over $800.00.
My doctor probably thinks that losing weight and more exercise would help. I agree, it just isn’t happening at my age.

When you said "My doctor probably thinks that losing weight and more exercise would help. I agree, it just isn’t happening at my age..." I thought about a post I wrote a long time ago, about my Mom after several strokes and many other health issues. She creatively made her daily tasks into exercise! Like doing her own laundry, folding it and putting it away when I could easily have done it. She said "It gets me up and moving around instead of sitting like a bump in my chair." When we would go to the grocery store, she would push her cart up and down every aisle, even if she only needed 5 things - she called it "getting my steps."
So when I was suffering the worst fatigue MAC and the Big 3 could hand me, I took pride in doing 2-3 chores every day, and trying to walk, reach and stretch as much as possible with each one. And I mopped my floors - it took several spells, with rest in between, but I did it!
Can you sneak a little exercise into each day?

I was given steroids when doing chemo, I did the nebulizer with great relief of congestion. Now I mostly cough up congestion, vomit, spit out for better breathing
