Has anyone suffered from lung abscess due to pneumonia?
I had pneumonia due to aspiration. I took a new medication which resulted in nausea and vomiting. I aspirated. Now I had a CT Scan because I was feeling pain on my chest with shortness of breath. The cardiac testing and imaging came normal but the CT Scan showed an abscess in my left lung. I have started with antibiotics. Anyone out there has ever had this health condition?

My husband is going through this now. I wondered if you could update with your experience and how long it took to heal. He also had pneumonia which has led to an abscess. He is miserable. He was in the hospital for 2 days with IV antibiotics and now he is at home with pill antibiotics. They will do another CT scan in 3 weeks. He is coughing, exhausted and feeling miserable. Sleeps most of the day and is so weak. Hoping to hear from someone else who has gone through this.
