Has anyone in the U.S. been prescribed 5mg of Tamoxifen

Has anyone in the U.S. been prescribed 5 mg of Tamoxifen rather than the standard 20mg for LCIS or Stage One?
Friends in Europe that have had LCIS or Stage One have been prescribed the dose of 5mg. It seems here in the U.S. we are being prescribed the higher dose of 20mg. I just wondering if they test blood and titrate or just prescribe the 20 mg. Thank you for your input.

I am truly sorry this happened to you. Could you get a second opinion? Did they recommend taking Magnesium Glycinate with the meds? It can help with constipation. There are many articles on women over 70 with small tumors not needing further treatment after surgery. You can Google the article, one is by Harvard. With IDC, IDS, and Lobular in Situ is not uncommon in older women.

I have also been taking 5 mg every day with very limited side affects. This is the dose i can tolerate and will stick to.
