Has anyone had success with TENS machines and massagers on the market?

My neuropathy mostly effects the bottom of my feet (numbness) but slowly has been moving up through my toes and feet. Some clinics offer these TENS units plus a few other treatment modalities at a very high cost. Makes more sense to just buy the machines. Have they helped anyone out there?

Hello Justin, I’ve had numbness on bottom of my feet for many years. (it doesn’t need any more confirmation. ☺️). 3 months ago I had spinal fusion surgery. My back is better but unfortunately the numbness in my feet is worse, as it has creeped up higher. I have other health issues I’m dealing with so the numbness currently not my priority.

Thanks fot the info on the Tens unit. Are you still taking treatments on Sanexas, I believe it was. Are you improving? I hope you are doing better.

My Sanexas treatment gave me 95% improvement in my neuropathy pain. Whatever is left. It is manageable without any painkillers. It’s been over two years now I’m doing reasonably well. Most treatments I see are for pain vs numbness. Is Sanexas also effective for numbness?

I know there are many suggestions on how to relieve pain and numbness from your feet. I’ve tried many with no success, but everyone is different and the successes can vary. I have been taking Nerve Renew twice a day and two weeks ago o took a treatment called (Quintenza) I’m able to sleep and the burning and numbness has all but disappeared. ( For now anyway). Like I said everyone is different but this has seemed to help. I was told the treatment should last 3 months and Insurance does pay for the treatment. U have to find a doctor who does these treatments it’s usually a pain doctor. Good luck. 👍

Checking to see if anyone is using tens machine for numbness. My only symptom so far is numb feet. I don't have a diagnosis yet. Trying to determine next pest step. Neurologist. maybe Podiatrist. Hoping for a natural solution. Looking online, I found a Neuropathy clinic I'm considering. In the reviews I see where several people have had success for numbness with treatments. Sounds like Tens machine or something similar. Suggestions. Other than some numbness, occasional cold feet,no other symptoms. It dies have some affect on my balance at times but not really impacting my walking so far. I average walking around 2 miles a day. When weather fit. I am 72 and not a diabetic.

I have diabetic neuropathy in both feet, no pain (thank God), but severe numbness.
The TENS unit did absolutely nothing for me. Unfortunately I paid a lot of money for a low laser treatment that work well for a while. If interested you can goggle:

Hi - I am asking this for my husband! Where do you put the tens pads on your legs. He uses a tens for his back - and it helps a lot. His neuropathy is not painful but his legs tingle *heavy tingle* and he has trouble sleeping because of it - he was diagnosed at Mayo about 5 or 6 years ago. He is also having trouble with balance and walking.

I have found that the location has to be varied until you find the best spot. I initially got best results by starting with the bottom of the feet and then going to ankles, etc. Electrical intensity needs to be varied also. Exercise always helps
