Has anyone had multiple blood clots in their lungs?

I had an almost fatal blood clot in 2020.
After 4 years my doctor tells me that I have multiple blood clots in my lungs and they have probably been in there eversince 2020!
This a rare lung disease and the only cure is to have surgery to remove them!

I’ve always heard that blood clots are very serious no matter where they are but knowing that you have them is more than half the battle, I think that not knowing is more dangerous. It’s good to know that they can remove them with surgery and I wouldn’t hesitate to do so, when they found cancer in my lung I was very eager to have it surgically removed, you don’t really want to walk around too long with anything that could potentially harm you, good luck.

When they went in and did a bronchial scope on me. They took out several small blood clots, that I didn't know I had. I could breathe again. It felt great.

Did the doctor say how long that you have had the blood clots in your lungs?

After I got out of the hospital in about 3 weeks, A Pulmonary Group took over my lung care. For the last 4 years after having CT Scan after CT Scans the pulmonologists told me that my lungs were clear but in fact they were not clear!
I finally got my family doctor to refer me to OU Medical Center in OKC, OK.
They ran a lot of tests on my lungs and a CT Scan that is called VQ Scan showed multiple blood clots in my lungs! My pulmonologist at OU Medical Center has sent all my test results to UT Southwestern Hospital in Dallas, TX to be reviewed and they will call me with thier recommendations on what I need to consider as far as surgery goes? The Dallas hospital is the closest hospital that can do surgery to remove the blood clots. The surgey is the only cure for my lung disease!
