Has anyone had a spell of severe dizziness that resulted in fainting?

Posted by bmekdeci @bmekdeci, 3 days ago

On Monday night, I had a severe spell of dizziness that resulted in losing consciousness. I fell injuring many parts of my body.

For the next few days, I was still so dizzy I couldn't walk without my husband's help. Today I am able to walk alone but am still dizzy mostly on the left side of my head.

Has anyone had this scary thing happen?

Hi @bmekdeci. Havnt read your prior posts and cardiologist good news. May I further suggest trying box breathing and romberg stance with head rotation thru your healthcare systems neuro PT as many with post covid have shared varying levels of dizziness, off balance … These simple things provided me helpful coping skills and hope can for you too with quickest healing journey 🌈

Unfortunately yes…I’ve got dystautonomia with Long Covid…there are a number of different ones, perhaps the best known being POTS, but mine is ‘postural hypotension’ ( diagnosed with tilt table test). Although LC has given me high Bp at rest, and random high HR, on standing my BP plummets (61/40 at TTT) and HR rises to compensate to get oxygenated blood to brain. Obviously I cannot diagnose that is your problem. Are you able to record your HR and Bp? I found keeping a daily journal recording how I feel, what I’ve been doing, been eating/ drinking etc etc alongside health stats. useful to show what makes such symptoms best/ worst…useful to show medic, and help yourself. Have a look at websites like Pots Uk, Stand up to Pots, and Stopfainting.com.

My Neurologist ordered a CT Scan with imaging (IV) of the Neck and Head, to check condition of blood vessels.

My Physical Therapy tested me for vertigo - negative.

Still get light headed and dizzy. One trigger for dizzy and loss of conscience, riding in a car for 1 to 2 hours. I'm beginning to believe it's motion and low blood pressure (BP 65 over 42) related. Also any physical activity - long walks, cutting grass, vacuuming, my BP drops.

It's nutrition. Sure, you're eating a balance of good nutrition. (I'm sure you are, but to be absolutly certain, journal your food and supplement intake for 2 weeks for good measure). But what is your body using up the fastest?

Probably protein. Fats. Carbs. Wait - but that's everything? Stupid answer...Hear me out.

If you are driving 400 miles in your usual car, to your usual destination, you put the usual fuel in. If this is a quarterly trip, perhaps you check the oil once a year and with that, the tires and fluids are topped. You get in, you get there, you forget about it.

With the spike protein in our bodies, we are no longer just us, the fuel and fluids and air, and a car. We have an alien attached. The alien is invisible. Sometimes it adds an extra layer of sludge to the oil, sometimes it dirties up the windows. Sometimes, it dirties the windows and pokes a hole in the washer fluid container and you're driving around in a blizzard, blind.

You're asking what is wrong with your car. They checked the engine and said, "Lady, the engine light isn't even on. It's fine. The gas is in the tank."

And you walk home from the doctor, past the garage where your car was once parked, next to the Tesla Charging station,.
LADY! You're asking the wrong question. You don't even have a gas-powered engine any more. They changed it out for the EV and forgot they burned the paperwork on the title. They look at you like you have a brand new Tesla, and you're confused that the gas won't work.

CRAZY. Get outta the shop. You can't afford a new car, so you have to invest in a different form of energy. Look at your fuel options.

Thanks for your interesting reply. I think I have tracked down the problem. I am exquisitely sensitive to meds and chemicals. I had started a new combo drop for glaucoma 3 times a day and, yes, you can absorb chemicals through your eyes. When I looked up the side effects of the combo product, dizziness and fainting were listed for both. My ophthalmologist is looking for other options.
