Has anyone had a Fungus ball in their sinus cavity in head?
I have allergies, sinusitis, had sinus surgery 6 months ago and now have thick brown mucus with particles coming from my head. It's hard to sleep at night because the throat closes with this gunk. Am wondering if this is fungus and I am immune compromised also, Headache on left side above eye. Has anyone had this condition? I am a hot mess.

Migraines maybe?
I have not been diagnosed w a fungal ball but in your case I think it should be looked into. Also don't overlook teeth, especially top back molars as the source of sinus problems. I had an abscessed tooth that never really hurt, just sensitive. Sinusitis for a long time. Finally discovered (long story) it was odontogenic sinusitis. Never detected on multiple sinus CT scans. Only found with a specialized, high-resolution Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) done by an endodontist.

1 ReactionWhen my maxillary and ethmoid sinus were removed in ‘06 and I had moss green ish ‘scabs’ coming out daily when rinsing, my surgeon said it would be for life. Now some more post rad scarring has almost blocked other sinuses from releasing these scabs and regular rinsing causes stuffy head so periodically I spend at least half an hour snarfing up warm water and forcibly blowing nose to empty handfuls of green gunk. Maybe that’s what you call fungus ball?

1 ReactionHave you tried NeilMed Sinus Rinse? My 1st ENT recommended using it 2x/day. My 2nd ENT just add an antibiotic, which is added to the sinus rinse (chronic infections). I don't see all the colors when I rinse like before.
