Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?

Posted by bigjohnscho @bigjohnscho, Jul 1, 2025

I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

I have had neuropathy for several years . The pain can be miserable . I found a bath bomb with thc in it . I soak my feet in warm water with the thc bath bomb. I then put a thc salve on my feet after soaking them. I has helped so much . I with you all the best in your journey . Keep your head up . Some days can be tough . Never quit . Never give up or in . I get the bath bomb at Maryjanesmedicinals.com . I also get the salve there as well.

I have been suffering with peripheral neuropathy for years. Started in my feet and spread up to my knees. I find that if i am up and moving my feet don't really bother me, it's when i stop that I feel the numbness, tingling, and spasms. I have been on Gabapetin for years with cymbalta at night. I've seen so many Doctors and they say that there is no cure. I'm tired of living on pills. Not sure where to go from here

I have had Neuropathy for many years. It was always manageable; numbness in my feet and burning in my lower legs when I stood up. I could live with it. A few months ago, it worsened. Pain in my feet kept me up. Burning became a lot worse.

I know we all react differently to meds and this is a “one- geezer study but my doctor put me on Pregabalin. I took the first pill at night and slept thru that night and have ever since. It’s still there but back to the way it was before it got worse. I don’t know how long it will last or what is eventually going to happen but right now, this med is working. Sleeping through the night changed my daily activities. I’m thankful. I’m still on a reasonably low dose with no side effects.

I hope this helps someone.

Often, neuropathy is caused by spinal cord compression. Get it checked out. I speak from experience.
"Yes, spinal cord compression is a well-documented cause of neuropathic pain and nerve dysfunction. When conditions like spinal stenosis, bone spurs, or herniated discs compress your spinal cord or nerve roots, it disrupts normal nerve signaling, leading to neuropathy symptoms. How Spinal Compression Causes NeuropathyPinching Nerve Roots: When the spaces in your spine narrow, it directly pinches the nerve roots exiting the spinal column.Disrupting Blood Flow: Compression can reduce blood supply to the nerves, triggering inflammation, ischemia, and subsequent damage.Radiating Symptoms: This type of damage creates neuropathic symptoms (such as burning pain, stabbing sensations, numbness, or tingling) that radiate down your limbs."

@chrisanon I have spinal stenosis at the base of my spine, but my neurosurgeon says it's not severe enough to be the cause of the neuropathy.
