Has anyone experienced groin pain, and if so what did you do about it?

I'll have my 12th injection of Evinity soon. Over the past few months, I've had groin pain in my right side. the left side just started. I didn't pay much attention to it because I've always had some sort of lower back and hip pain, and it's so close to my hip, that I just didn't give it much thought. But then I read about it. I'm just hoping it disappears since I am so close to the end. ANyone experience this?

" Unusual thigh bone fractures. Symptoms of this type of fracture include: ○ new or unusual pain in your hip, groin, or thigh."
If you haven't reported this pain to the prescriber, you might before your final injections. Atypical femur fracture is a rare side effect of Evenity, Prolia and long term use of any of the bisphosphonates.
I haven't taken Evenity and wonder if a provider would order an MRI, since x-ray can miss the fine hairline cracks that presage the early stages of this type of fracture.
I hope it's nothing of concern.

I had groin paid quite a while before I was told I needed a hip replacement. After much hip pain that radiated out toward the outside of my hip instead of the growing when I would get up iamd from playing with grandchildren, it would hurt and grab me and almost feel like a spasm but not trying to scare you. That's just what happened to me leading up to a hip replacement

I also have osteoporosis but have only used the infusion drug Reclast so cannot speak specifically to Evenity.
Like @hipgranny1956, my groin pain eventually led to a total hip replacement. Through MRI’s of both the lumbar spine
(which showed no cause for groin pain) and hip MRI, we concluded that the hip labrum was torn and some arthritis had set in. My first surgery 5 years ago was labrum reconstruction and bone spur cleanup. The labrum re-tore causing very specific groin pain. I opted for a total hip replacement last year. From a surgery and recovery standpoint, it is one of the easier joint replacements.

I had some vague atypical discomfort in groin and trouble walking that ended up being a Subchondral insufficiency fracture of femoral head, which did not show up on x-ray, typically does not show up, only MRI. I’m very active, but went easy for a few months and it healed. But my doctor said this happens among her patients with osteoarthritis and that I am looking at a full hip replacement in my future!

Sounds like the groin pain could be a side effect of the Evenity medication. However, according to my rheumatologist, "osteoporosis in the hip causes pain in the groin." I have pain in the same area.

see if you have a groin pull from over doing certain movements, see an orthopedist or pt person for diagnosis, if you are dropping a kidney stone you could experience groin pain, if it is bad, go to urgent care for ultra sound xray and further clarity.
