Has anyone ever dealt with a kidney stone in the new kidney ?

My father's new kidney had a giant Stone. He was doing great until they went in to try to get rid of the stone. Now he has catheters and nephrostomy bags and the kidney is bleeding. He has been in the hospital and his mental state is waning fast. I feel helpless. Any thoughts? Any advice?
