Has anyone else experienced high pulse rates after having Covid?

Posted by silkabasya1 @silkabasya1, Nov 30, 2024

I recently had Covid after testing negative I am experiencing high pulse rates. Because of this I am experiencing anxiety. It is really effecting my life at this point. I’m wondering how long this can last.

Thank you for your understanding and encouragement. This is such a lonely journey. Yesterday I was cool. Today I am teary-eyed and down. I will do what I can to adjust my attitude. 🙂 Perhaps breakfast and a shower will get me out of this slump.

Ah. You have every right to have those ever changing emotions with these daunting changing symptoms and seems your mindset still able to give yourself grace. I sought mental health provider to help me focus on that and hope its an option for anyone on this journey feeling hopeless. Quickest healing to you!🌈

Since having Covid my heart rate periodically jumps 30 beats when i am doing something that should not cause such an increase, i.e. getting out of the shower and dressing , putting clothes in the washing machine.. It doesn’t hapoen all the time. I am being followed by a cardiologist, have had carotid ultasound- normal, holter monitor which showed a few PVCs , some premature atrial contractions. I also have mild leaky valves. Since my resting heart rate is fairly low and symptoms are not severe, my cardiologist doesn’t have me on medication. I see him every 6 months. I also developed sleep apnea after having Covid. I went from basically having no health problems to now seeing a cardiologist, pulmonologist (for mild obstruction) and a sleep specialist.
