Has anyone been on BESREMI (Interferon)?
I was diagnosed with Essential Thrombocythemia w/JAK2 4 years ago. My platelets continue to climb and I’ve been on Eliquis and baby aspirin for over a year now. My last lab showed platelets are 864 and we’re in the high 700’s for the past year or so. I couldn’t take Hydroxyurea as it caused severe neuropathy and my oncologist stopped it. Thank you..

My hematologist is looking into besremi for me and curious to everyone’s experience with it so far.
Diagnosed 26 years ago with ET Calr R and was started on HU.
15 years later I got a bad case of skin cancer in scalp so was moved in 2020 to Anagrelide. Just had an afib incident and am on Eliquis which can NOT be taken with Anagrelide.
Now looking into besremi which really is my only option.
Anyone in the US and in Medicare have input into finding assistance with cost? It is outrageously expensive. I understand there may be some financial assistance programs for it. Thanks for any help or feedback
