I guess it is unclear so far whether platelet injections work for tendinopathy in hamstrings and in hip tendons. The best journal articles I found on the topic are by Jane Fitzpatrick. One of them has the title: "Is there structural change on MRI in gluteal tendinopathy after treatment?" You can ask an AI to summarise the article for you in layperson language.
When I discussed my tendinopathies with healthcare professionals (I live in Scandinavia, so professionals in your country may reason differently) they didn't bring up platelet injections. If you worry that platelet injections will not help you but you decide to test injections, you could start treating for example only the tender tendons on the right side of your body, so you can then compare whether the treated side is better a year after injections.
Towards the end of your post, you ask about suggestions. Years ago, Google helped me find suggestions that reduce my tendinosis pain without injections. When sleeping, a pillow between knees is helpful, many web sites (and I) agree. During the day, when at home, I wear loose trousers (rather than regular trousers, which would add pressure on my hips) and hold them up with suspenders, not with a belt. If you wish, I list more suggestions that do not involve injections, but the main topic in your post is platelet injections, so I stop here. I hope more people comment on your post 🙂

@judaline Ah, you're in Australia, where Jane Fitzpatrick does her platelet injection research!
Perhaps you haven't tried the following when typing at an adjustable standing desk, which I'm doing now. When standing, I usually keep my feet slightly more than a foot apart. This reduces the tension in my ilio-tibial bands, so that the tendons near the trochanter have more space than if the iliotibial bands are tight, which which they are when I stand with my feet together. When sitting and typing, I sit an adjustable, padded chair with armrests. Sitting compresses the hamstring tendons against my sit bones, which is painful, but when I push down on the armrests, the compression on my hamstring tendons ends, which I believe is beneficial. When sitting, I usually don't keep my knees together, because this tightens my iliotibial bands. When sitting, I sometimes have a cushion under my thigh muscles but barely under my sit bones, so that my sit bones barely carry weight. Thanks to my adjustable desk and comfortable chair, I can type (much too?!) long texts, this comment shows 😉
Sleeping with tender tendons near trochanter and sit bones leads to trade-offs. On the one hand, I wish to effortlessly change position often, so that no tendon is squeezed needlessly long. On the other hand, I can't sleep on my side due to tendinosis near the trochanters, and I sleep poorly on my back due to tendinosis next to my sit bones, even if I have cushions under my knees. This week, I found a text about wedge-shaped cushions. If I buy some and lie supine while they are under the right half of my torso, my right shoulder and right hip would be perhaps 3 inches higher than my left shoulder and left hip. This might lead to very little pressure on my tender tendons. This week, I have tested having some of my cushions as approximately wedge-shaped support and I feel it's comfortable up to an hour.
If you have found other ways to reduce tendon pain without medicines and injections, I welcome if you share them with our community 🙂
Wow...very detailed...tku for this .I too try diff cushions..pillows..sides to sleep on.. n if all fails...take 2 pain Meds.
