When I was on FolFoxiri my hair thinned. Then I went to just Folfiri my hair continued to thin. Now I'm on FolFox and my hair has come back somewhat normally. 61 rounds total... So far
I just completed my Folfox treatment (8 rounds). I was told my hair would thin. For me, it feels like a lot more than just thinning. I would say I have lost about 3/4 of my hair. So I am grateful I didn’t loose it all, but I have very sad hair. I am hoping it will grow back, but I am looking at 5 weeks of Xeloda with radiation, so not sure it will happen anytime soon.
The doctors idea of hair thinning is a bit different that what us girls think. My hair also became very thin But a few months after all treatments it is coming back in full and curly So give it some time I am so delighted to have hair again not long but it is coming

I completed 12 rounds, mine thinned to probably 1/4 of normal. I went ahead and shaved my head so that the fall out was not so noticeable. You know the look of 700 strands of 6 inch hair vs the look of 700 strands of 1/4 in hair. It felt less upsetting to me that way, but I definitely lost a lot. I am 1 year out of chemo and my hair is almost to a bob length, weird big curls and I'd say I got about half of it back. Still trying to figure out what to do with the new do!
So what exactly is a “round”? I’m in my third year of chemo and expect to be on it for the rest of my days. It’s been pretty effective although that portion now in my liver has been recalcitrant. Is each individual treatment a round?

I am having 12 rounds at least of folfox so this helps prepare me. Thankyou. I hope you have complete healing after so many treatments.
How many chemo rounds of folfox did you have when your hair became thin? I’m glad to hear you are getting it back.
Wow 61 rounds of chemo! What kind of cancer do you have? Are you finished and in remission? I’ve only had 3 rounds so far and feeling low energy.
seven treatments

One treatment. Some call it a cycle too.
