Sounds like you should have your PSA checked in 3 months or less. 2.5 years after salvage radiation my PSA also started rising. I was immediately put on ADT. That keep me undetectable for 2.5 more years. You don’t want your PSA rising too fast, that can result in metastasis spreading.

Don’t have your prostate cancer history, Gleason, biopsy of prostate results and more. How are you treated now, on any drugs?

My husband had a jump from 0.07 to 0.19 within 3-month interval almost 4.5 years post surgery. He has got PSA test every 3 months since after his surgery in 2021. After it went to 0.19, the urologist ordered the test again the following month. It went down to 0.17. They ordered another PSA test 3 months after, which was at the end of Jan. It was above 0.2 , so he got his PSMA scan on 4 Feb.

A lot of people work while on ADT. It doesn’t affect you like an opioid different side effects, Nothing that would stop you from driving a truck. You might want the window open more often.

I really don’t think you should wait till June for another PSA test. Ask your doctor.

@dontpanic67 Yeah, I understand. I'm guessing driving a big rig has strict medical requirements, like flying a plane? In the U.S., the FAA doesn't let you fly on ADT, either (even a little Cessna).

@northoftheborder
While that is true

The Certified Medical Examiner (CME) will evaluate whether your medication and the condition it treats (e.g., depression, anxiety) allow for safe operation of a CMV. They may require a letter from your treating physician stating the medication does not impair your ability to drive.

I’ve been driving on it for eight years never noticed it being a factor.

@jeffmarc Thanks — that's the way it works in Canada for flying. In the U.S., unfortunately, the FAA has a fixed list of banned meds for pilots. Firmagon is on it, and I assume the other ADT meds are as well.
