GLP-1and heart arrhythmia

Posted by slh317 @slh317, 1 day ago

I started Zepbound and am currently on my 6th weekly dose (2nd dose of 5 mg). I have lost 12 pounds in 6 weeks. I am now experiencing several episodes of supraventricular ectropy (SVE) daily. These last 10 minutes or so and then I revert to normal sinus rhythm.
Should I be concerned or just assume it is my body adjusting to the medication?

Did you procure your Zepbound online or do you have a Dr you see and they provided the prescription? If it was the first you should be able to reach out to them for medical consultation because they approved your use of it. If the latter I would consult your physician. We are all so very different when it comes to treatments even if someone had a very similar experience, symptoms and issues their remedies wouldn’t necessarily yield the same results for you. Let us know what you find out.

Thanks. I am getting Zepbound through my doctor for sleep apnea. Just wondering if anyone else has had these issue while on GLP-1 meds. I have an appointment with my doctor in 2 weeks.

I been on Wegovy for a year and a half . My PCP told me I had to lose weight. Lost close to 60 lbs . I also have sleep apnea ,ten years . Been using sleep machine for 10 years . Been snoring and chocking since I was a kid ,so who know what damage I’ve accumulated over those years I’m 73 just for reference. But I do sleep better and my sleep numbers have gone way down since losing the weight.
But last July I fell down a flight of stairs at my daughter’s house .Fractured C1. Moved C2 ,broke both wrist ,had to have surgery on the right wrist and ended up at Penn University Hospital for spinal fusion 0 thru C4 During the 5 hour surgery they discovered I was having Afib Came out of surgery with a great outcome Neck has healed well ,no pain . Not much range of motion but considering most are either dead or crippled with similar injuries. , I consider myself lucky . There was no apparent spinal nerve damage but ever since I’ve been dealing with Afib PVC’s PAC’s tachycardia, couplets ,triplets and other heart issues Now seeing an electrophysiologist taking meds and tests . I don’t have a good sense about what’s going on Been doing lots of research and I’m hoping to get on the other side of these heart issues Don’t know if that helps .
