I think it is autoimmune--sign of inflammation.

Deus lhes paguem. Obrigado, COM GRATIDÃO.

I have had SILENT Erosive Reflux, level 3, for about 7 years. During this time, I took all available medications, and starting in 2025, I adopted INZELM and a probiotic whose name I don't remember. In my consultations, from 2024 onwards, I have been VERY EMPHASIZED the fact that I no longer present symptoms of pain, regurgitation, heartburn, etc., only a chronic cough, initially strong, now weak. I urgently need the members' help with this condition, informing me what medications and treatments are effective, and of course, their results. May God reward you. Thank you, WITH GRATITUDE.

@lewin Maybe those with a more scientific background are better equipped to answer your question. All that I can think of is the role the gut microbiome plays in both. And they are both caused by inflammation, as you say. An interesting topic to explore, for sure.

I decided to forego drugs when I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis (huge swollen hand which eventually caused damaged knuckles). I didn't have GERD or nausea at that time. (I got nausea probably from taking anti-inflammatory pain meds, including aspirin, following a surgery.) The arthritis doesn't appear to be progressing, for now, anyway. I hope you get some answers. Nausea is so terrible. Take care.
