Does anyone else suffer with chronic acid reflux and acute gastritis? The last 3 yrs my upper GI shows the same thing..my stomach Dr calls my condition Gerd..

Sorry that you're experiencing this.

I was diagnosed with GERD more than 30 years ago.

After years of chewing antacids and drinking Maalox, I found out I also had severe sleep apnea.

Coincidentally, once I started using a CPAP for the apnea, my GERD went away.

I hope you find relief soon.

Thanks Scott for the info,I have had all kinds of test done on me but not the sleep apnea test.I don't snore but was told i could still have it without snoring. Maybe that's something i need to check into having done..

GERD is very uncomfortable, I know.
One night I inhaled stomach acid. Yikes!

Yes I have had GERD for about 20 yrs. It continues to get worse & medications aren’t helping at the moment. I think it affects individuals differently though. I hope that since it’s new that medication will control your symptoms
