This is amazing, I am all new to GBM. Can you tell me how avastin works? My husband was diagnosed with GBM wildtype stage 4 this last March. He will start chemo and radiation on April 6. So I am very interested in how this medication works. Thank you for your post.

Avastin will reduce swelling will stop the tumor from growing will sometimes help with quality of life it is used after all of the other treatments are done note it will not stop the tumor from coming back at a later time

I’m sorry for your loss. My sister was diagnosed in Nov and passed away March 9 . Those months were tough, as I’m sure your’s have been but they were also a great blessing. Prayers for you on your grief.

So sorry to hear about your wife Joanne’s passing. My heart goes out to you. My husband just finished his radiation & chemo. His MRI is June 9 to see if it helped at all. He was diagnosed Oct 2025 at Geisinger but a MRI from UPMC showed his tumor Sept 2024 but they did not see it. He is actually doing ok for now. He also has metastatic kidney cancers since 2017 that have been stable but since he had to go off his kidney chemo they have grown just a bit. Our wedding anniversary is June 12, will be 50 years! I know our time is limited, just trying to make everyday count.
