Yes, 2 weeks and I had all the facts about it I wouldn’t have taken it.
I had a reaction went to bed OK 1 AM left leg and foot very swollen called. The nurse line told me to get to the ER.
The doctors did all kinds of testing and everything came out negative. They told me to go home and watch it as I had an appointment coming up with my main doctor. I put on 10 pounds of fluid in my left leg and it hurt. As soon as my doctor saw my leg, he knew what it was.
It is a drug you cannot just stop. You have to Titrate off. I did a half a dose for a few days, Then they cut it again, two more times before they told me not to take anymore. The first night I didn’t sleep I was wired.
But then I react to everything
I wish you the best

I am so sorry you had a bad reaction to G. It has helped me tremendously.

I have been taking it for a year now and it’s helped so much! It’s helped cut my migraines in half, while alleviating nerve pain throughout my body.

It has helped me a great deal.

It helped for a long time and then I couldn't tolerate it anymore. It made my shaking and neuropathy pain way worse. I just quit it. My dr was surprised you're supposed to slowly dc.

I took it for 9 months and kept telling them I was not liking the hyperactivity. It was so bad that I could not even get to the therapeutic dosage. They were insistent that I stay on it for a different issue, but they think it was related to Fibromyalgia that the abdominal wall pain was imitating another chronic issue I have. Finally, I demanded to stop due to it was affecting every aspect of my life including my job. And then I had to titrate off slowly. I too am someone who reacts to everything, they did genetic testing and yes the genes match the reactions. I have a pharmacist and allergist and they both said it would be an ok med, it was not. I had them put it on the do not take or try again list.

So sorry to hear about your reaction. We have to advocate for ourselves when things are not right. We know our bodies, and we need to protect our bodies. Your reaction was as bad or worse than mine..
I too work with the pharmacy about my allergies and every once in a while, something gets through then I get sick. I had them put that drug on my allergy list so I would never get it again.
Right now I’m struggling because I had a reaction to a fitted bed mat waterproof. I think it was the product that made it waterproof, but my daughter told me many companies are now sprain chemicals on products so that they are not likely to pick up bugs and other things.
I hope you find something that works well for you. It sounds like you have a good doctor and a good pharmacist to work with..
Happy days ahead for us

I was diagnosed in my 20s and it’s been 40+ yrs. The first two years were really bad but then the symptoms started to trail off. After about 10 years I hardly noticed them at all but frankly I had other conditions that were worse and took the forefront at the same time. I’ve picked up a lot of other diagnoses over the years, including those that are explained as causing my muscle weakness and fatigue, primarily Myasthenia Gravis.
Sleep and rest along with a good protein diet and supplements including B complex and herbs have helped me maintain, but there’s no way I could deal with the common symptoms unless I take gabapentin and my MG meds.
I had a 40 yr career of working up to 3 jobs sometimes while getting several masters degrees, being a single mom of two and running businesses, but there were times when I was stuck in bed for months as I was exhausted and had to stop everything. I used every OTC and prescribed pain meds but it wasn’t until Celebrix came out and I took predisone that I truly felt good.
Now I’m paying with liver issues and severe osteoporosis but at the time that’s what it took to keep working. I would hound your doctor until you find what works for you but realize there’s a cost to everything in this life and you just have to weigh the risk vs benefit for yourself. I wouldn’t change a thing because I did my research first and did what I had to do and I’m basically ok now in my opinion compared to a lot of others
